Corruption in Bangladesh
You raised a very important question. Corruption Situation in Bangladesh is even worse than India where more than 80% people claim to be Muslims! Bangladesh even became top-corrupted country in the world for several years in a row! Being a Bangladeshi, I really feel ashamed for that.
How can a true Muslim or a true religious people do corruption?! Our beloved prophet Muhammad (s) is a role model as an honest person. Even those who fiercely opposed him was never able to claim that Muhammad (s) was a dishonest or corrupt person. Being his follower how can a true Muslim take bride, cheat people etc.!
There are so many people called themselves Muslims but there are only few people are true Muslims indeed! It is very sad but true. The holy Quran repeatedly says that we must be righteous if we want God’s pleasure and paradise, no excuse about it. A righteous person never ever can imagine to take bribe and cheat other people.
[The Quran 2:25] Give good news to those who believe and lead a righteous life that they will have gardens with flowing streams. When provided with a provision of fruits therein, they will say, “This is what was provided for us previously.” Thus, they are given allegorical descriptions. They will have pure spouses therein, and they abide therein forever.
[2:44] Do you exhort the people to be righteous, while forgetting yourselves, though you read the scripture? Do you not understand?
[2:62] Surely, those who believe, those who are Jewish, the Christians, and the converts; anyone who (1) believes in GOD, and (2) believes in the Last Day, and (3) leads a righteous life, will receive their recompense from their Lord. They have nothing to fear, nor will they grieve.
[2:82] As for those who believe, and lead a righteous life, they will be the dwellers of Paradise; they abide in it forever.
[2:112] Indeed, those who submit themselves absolutely to GOD alone, while leading a righteous life, will receive their recompense from their Lord; they have nothing to fear, nor will they grieve.
[6:32] The life of this world is no more than illusion and vanity, while the abode of the Hereafter is far better for the righteous. Do you not understand?!
[40:39] “O my people, this first life is a temporary illusion, while the Hereafter is the eternal abode.”
[40:40] Whoever commits a sin is requited for just that, and whoever works righteousness – male or female – while believing, these will enter Paradise wherein they receive provisions without any limits.
If you believe you are a Muslim, you must be righteous. You will never cheat anybody, you will never take bribe, you will never create mischief on God’s land, you must be fully honest and trustworthy.

Why there is rampant corruption in India despite Muslims being there in a sizeable number?
